Pennsylvania Union Official Indicated for Embezzling Funds

United States Attorney Mary Beth Buchanan for the Western District of Pennsylvania announced yesterday that Lawrence McGown, a resident of New Brighton, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh on charges of embezzling funds from a labor organization. Among other things, the indictment charged that McGown made unauthorized charges for personal use on the union's America Express credit card that was to be used solely for legitimate union business purposes.
